The challenge

The challenge was to build trust with an already successful founder, work with him to review personal and business objectives and agree a business plan that delivers scale up levels of value whilst balancing business risk and optionality. This included helping develop senior roles to free up founder time to work in the most productive areas and provide deeper expertise in commercial finance and corporate development to take advantage of IP development capabilities.

• Assessing and implementing team incentives such as EMI options and bonus schemes
